Pushing collages from small to large format, using a three month “at home artist residency”. This project ran from August to October 2022 culminating in an exhibition in November 2022. It became bigger than Ben Hur and I definately bit off more thank I could chew. It was so worthwhile though.
Through all the planning and making and failures I even had some successes. I learned so much, too much to write about here, but I will definitely be using this way of working to provide structure around future projects.
However, since 2020 I have also participated in a writing group called Fresh Eyes which was developed and delivered by artist and mentor Amy Kennedy. Since Amy is all about artist residencies and offers a program on writing applications for artist residencies, she asked if she could interview me for her youtube channel.
