Since 2018, after resigning from work and moving to the country, I have been able to dedicate my time to my creative practice. My home is in the lovely town of Dayboro, just outside Brisbane and I am grateful for the opportunity to live a creative life here - bringing back a small patch of native bush, spending time in the shed studio and connecting with my new community.

I started focussing on collage around 2020, recycling old drawings, paintings and found papers, playing with the idea of constraint and restraint. My focus is on finding the interplay between simple and complex imagery and figuring out how design is used to create impactful composition. The ease and immediacy of collage allows me to do this.

Happily, making collage requires few tools or art supplies, fitting neatly with my desire to create an environmentally sustainable practice using materials which are discarded, in need of a second life, plastic free, bio-degradable and compostable.
