Coming up in August I am participating in two exhibitions, opening just one week apart from each other. It's been a pretty busy time but it's all coming together now. Toward HOME brings together fellow artists Rachel South, Mel Brady, Kylie Harries and Sarah O'Neill exploring our understanding of home. I'm showing my Ladies Home Journal collage series, which responds to media representation of women and extends to how the idea of home represented in the media is a space in which social conformity is rehearsed and reinforced. AHA Moments showcases works by nine Art Lab members: Anna Guthrie, Ann Gillespie, David Cross, Grace Cross, Helen Evans, Kim Marston, Lucie Verhelst, Ulrike Foerster, and myself. The exhibition offers visitors insights and breakthroughs gained from our ongoing discussions around art and art making. My contribution includes new work from my Language of Posing collage series, which is work I've been making throughout 2024 and will be showing for the first time.
