Hello My Friends! I’m delighted to invite you to the opening of Fresh Eyes 2025 on Saturday 29 November, 2–4pm at the Redcliffe Art Gallery. Fresh Eyes is a biennial exhibition that invites four artists to respond to the evolving landscape of the Moreton Bay Region. This year’s exhibition features works by Rachel Bywaters, Zartisha Davies, Emily McGuire and myself and will run from Saturday, 22 November 2025 - Saturday, 07 March 2026. I’ve been working all year on this commission. What a luxury to have so much time to consider and experiment and make. I’m so grateful for the opportunity! The series of collages that I have made is an extension of my explorations into how I have been shaped by a lifetime steeped in societal expectations, drawing parallels with the way our human presence has shaped, and continues to shape the natural landscapes in Dayboro and it’s surrounds. Today I delivered the completed collages to the Gallery for framing and now all that is left is to cross my fingers that all goes well and that the work I have made is thoughtful and engaging to visitors. The exhibition, Two Girls from Amoonguna will be opening jointly and there’ll be a conversation with the curator and the artists, along with music and refreshments.
