Helloooo!

Well, we’re are into January now and the days are sliding by! I hope you had a wonderful time with friends and family over the Christmas and New Year holidays and are ready to lean into the year.

For myself, once Fresh Eyes was installed and the exhibition opened officially, I was able to relax a bit and enjoy some quiet time over the Christmas period.

While it is taking me a while to get into the back into the swing of things, I do have a few projects in the works. I’m hosting a collage workshop in February, and there is artLAB of course, as well as the Pavilion Artist Residency in August (more on that as it gets closer), maybe an arty party at my studio, perhaps an open studio and maybe some outdoor drawing. All things I’m thinking about! At the moment I’m gathering ideas, images, materials and learning new skills as I prepare to make new collages over the next few months.

So lots going on, but as always, I look forward to connecting with you in person as the opportunities arise. See you in 2026!

FRESH EYES at the Redcliffe Art Gallery…

is a bi-annual exhibition that invites artists from the Moreton Bay region to reflect upon the rapidly changing landscape and communities of Moreton Bay Region.

The Redcliffe Art Gallery’s goal is to create an archive that documents the rapid changes in the region through the eyes of local artists.

Join me in this hands-on workshop to explore how intentional design can turn simple, limited materials into compelling collages.

Slow down, work with what’s at hand, and discover a process for making artwork that is guided by constraints and inventive design choices.

This workshop is suited to people who are interested in slow, meditative making and learning about how to implement design in their work.

SUMMER NIGHTS at the Redcliffe Art Gallery

I’m heading to the Gallery’s seasonal up-late event featuring an in-conversation from Fresh Eyes artists Rachel Bywaters (Gamilaroi) and Zartisha Davis (Kabi Kabi, Butchulla and Cobble Cobble).

There’ll be music, refreshments and the opportunity to see Two Girls from Amoonguna with work by renowned Town Camp artists Sally M Nangala Mulda and Marlene Rubuntja.
